On March 29, 2010, the US Environmental Protection Agency published the results of its second six-year review of 71 existing drinking water regulations.  In this notice, USEPA detailed the process it used to review health effects, analytical methods, occurrence, and treatment data for these 71 regulations.  USEPA has determined that four contaminants (acrylamide, epichlorohydrin, trichloroethylene [TCE], and tetrachloroethylene [PCE]) are candidates for regulatory revision.

This webcast summarizes the details of the process used for this review, why these four specific contaminants were selected for potential regulatory revisions, and potential implications for utilities if these standards are lowered in the future.
