AWWA Research Webinar: Leading Research in the Field of Potable Reuse Research

We invite you to join us for an AWWA Research Webinar on May 6th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm via Zoom featuring a panel of leading researchers who will highlight state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of potable reuse.

These experts will shine light on 1) whether PFAS in potable reuse is a crisis or non-issue, 2) wastewater-based epidemiology for COVID-19 surveillance and implications to potable reuse, and 3) pathogen removal for MWD’s Regional Recycled Water Program.

During the webinar, you will have the opportunity to test your knowledge on potable reuse research along with other students and young professionals in the water industry through interactive polls. Once you register, you will be entered in a raffle draw for a chance to win a prize!

Instructions and links to the event will be sent to registered attendees. To register, you must have an AWWA membership.

Movie Night: Brave Blue World

We hosted a Movie Night on March 18, 6-8 PM via Zoom! We screened Brave Blue World and had a group discussion after the film. Following our Movie Night, WEAO also hosted their Brave Blue World Waterside Chat on March 22, where water industry professionals shared their perspectives on themes brought up in the film.

We hope everyone who attended the event enjoyed the movie!

Game Night

We hosted a Virtual Games Night last Tuesday!

We played Among Us, Codenames, and Scribble. This was a great opportunity to engage with fellow students in the water industry, and of course, have some fun! The event took place on our OWWA SC Discord Server on March 2nd, 6:00 PM EST. Prizes were awarded to two winners with the highest cumulative points and raffle prizes were also given to four lucky attendees!

We hope everyone had a good time 🙂
